Unity5 has appointed Richard Houghton as its first non-executive Chairman. Richard is an experienced professional with a track record for helping SMEs towards significant growth, and his advisory role takes immediate effect.
Prior to embarking on his non-executive career, Richard co-founded Xchanging, a technology outsourcing business which he helped grow to a FTSE 250 business operating in 9 countries. Richard has an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard. With experience including senior roles at Caradon plc, McKinsey & Co and Esso, Richard has spent much of his career working with Private Equity backed software businesses and enjoys the challenges involved in developing and implementing strategies for growth businesses to realise their full potential.
